Don Cyrenne aka JimmyCorps served 10 years in the Canadian Signals Corps. In 1987 he enlisted with 748 Comms in Nanaimo and served as a Lineman (052) and Rad-Op (214). A year and a half later, he transferred to regular force ending up in Calgary after basic training in Cornwallis and Radio School in Kingston.
While posted to CFB Calgary, he got his first taste of providing DJ entertainment spinning music at the Currie Barracks Junior Ranks Club.
Since leaving the Armed Forces in '97 Cyrenne worked briefly as a corporate DJ. It was 2008 when the first stream that would become VeteransRadio.ca hit the web. Using free broadcasting software the first live shows were streamed. This same year, CanuckGamer.ca was created. He produced the CanuckGamer.ca podcast and co-hosted with Joe "AdmiralBull" Turbyfill from Raleigh NC until 2012.
Battlefieldradio.net streaming online radio station has been broadcasting since 2008. The stream runs 24/7/365 with a number of programmed genre spots each day. A number of new online shows are being reviewed for possible addition to the broadcasting lineup.
As of August 2016 we are now mobile. We have the option of broadcasting from the cave at home as well as any indoor / outdoor venue.
As of Sept. 1st, there are 2 stations currently streaming. Battlefieldradio.net hosts 2 stations currently. #1 Snowflake Radio, #2 VeteransRadio.ca
Dec. 15th - We've added a new station to our network. Kriegergaming.com now have their own online radio station. Check them out at www.kgradio.com
